access violation -svchost.exe pit 428 - rpcss.dll

It is driving me crazy. I have windows 2000 profession
service pack 4 and I have been getting a prgram error
messaage of a svchost.exe shut down Drwatson show this to
be an access violation ocooooo5 pit 428. This occurs
when on internet or in Outlook. Article 311158 talks of
hot fix in sp2. however, I have put in sp2 and just
updaed with sp4. Error stills continues. Any
suggestions?? Upgrade to xp professional or just get
another computer???

Have you applied the latest critical hotfix?
