I recently joined an online college that wants me to complete Access Beg to advanced. However, I don't use this software in my present job. I've only used it partially with other databased softwares. I'm wondering who actually uses this database? It's just that if I have to pay for something it should be worth the trouble. Thanks for the input.

In my experience, Access is used by those who have data storage needs that
have outgrown Excel, but who don't have the resources (poeple, $$$) or need
to move to SQL Server. So....pretty much every company I've ever worked for
used Access somewhere in the mix. For some, it was one or two people. For
others, Access drives the entire place.

There are tens of thousands of Access databases out there. Not a bad tool
to be familiar with.

Office Professional, which includes MS Access, must be on just about every
corporate desktop.
