I changed a setting on an old work computer - the company is no longer in
business therefore there is no Administrator to contact. The setting I
changed was something about going from a workgroup to now being a home
computer. Once the computer rebooted it no longer lets me login AT ALL. I
can't get past the login screen. I tried rebooting and holding the F8 key
but that option did not work. Can anyone help me get into my computer?
Thanks,

you can access it via ms dos , you need a bootable floppy for win-98
2.edition to get in via dos to copy out your files , but be careful ( when
you start up from dos , read carefully in help ( type help to open it ) to
find out what to do )
To get passed a password in XP is
not an easy task , there are programs on internet to crack codes but not
recomendable , ( pardon my english , not my language )

Try using a program called l0pht crack (yes it is spelled that way). It is
very good at cracking passwords but you have to be able to access the drive
(place it in another computer running Windows XP Pro - slave it to the master
hard drive). The program is available here
