I upgraded from Windows 98 to WindowsXP. Everything went
well with the exception of Outlook Express my e-mail
program. I cannot access any of my current messages and
folders that were existent on my Outlook Express. I was
ask if I wanted to import messages and folders from
Outlook Express 4 and 6, which I did. These are messages
that date from 1999, 2000, and 2001, which I didn't know
were still on my C-Drive.

Can you tell me how to find my current Outlook Express E-
mails and Folders???

Thanks...

Bob, could you try searching your harddrive for the .dbx files?

From the start menu, choose Search.
Search for all files and folders.
Enter, in all or part of the filename box, *.dbx
Look in all your harddrives.

See if that comes up with anything that you look like you need, and if so,
we'll get it into OE.

Dear Kelli:

I took your advice about searching *.dbx but no luck.

In the process of installing Windows XP I believe I saw a
message that said in the process of upgrading to Windows
XP not files or folders would be deleted. Is there
another way I could try to find the Outlook Express files
or folders???

Thanks for your help.

Do you remember the names of any of the folders? Try searching for those as
well.
