xWhen I try to open Internet Options through Internet Explorer, I am denied
access. The message I receive when I click on "Internet Options " in the
Tools menu is; "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in
effect on this computer". I am unable to find what has to be changed or
toggled in order to grant access.

FYI, I can open Internet Options by right clicking my IE desktop icon and
selecting "Properties".

If anybody knows where to make the change that will remedy this situation, I
would greatly Appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

See if this helps:

"Why can I no longer access my IE settings?"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/216583/en-us
"Clicking "Internet Options" on the Tools Menu Returns Error Message".

"Unable to access Tools, Internet Options".

A fix here:

Everything I needed to know was found in the Microsoft Knowledge Base just
as you suggested. Thank you.

It turned out to be a Policy Command in the registry. I erased it, as
indicated, rebooted and the problem disappeared.

Thanks Again,

Rob Frey
