Access to folder in old partition

Hi folks. Recently one of my HDD stoped working. I reinstalled the OS (xp professional sp1) in a new partition and it works fine. But since then I can only access the shared folders in the old partition not the private folders (which said access denied) . Are there any ways I can get access to those folders ?
