I need to access the Documents and Settings Folder in Vista Home Premium. In
Windows Explorer, I looked at the Properties of this folder by right clicking
on the folder and selecting Properties. Under the Sharing tab, it says not
shared. So I clicked Advanced Sharing, then put a check next to Share this
Folder and then clicked Apply at the bottom. The following error message
appears: "An error occurred while trying to share Documents and Settings.
Access is denied. The shared resource was not created at this time." I also
checked the Security Tab and applied full control to Everyone, System, and
Administrators. Can anyone tell me how to access this folder? I want to put a
folder into C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Application
Data/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/5.0/Photo Creations/Special Effects.

There is no "Documents and Settings" folder in Vista. That is just a
junction there for backwards compatibility. You need to be looking at
C:\Users\Your-Username instead (assuming Vista is on C:).

Thanks for the info. I looked into it and was able to complete the task.
Thank you for taking the time to give a response. I have since realized that
others had asked similar questions and the answer was in their posts.

Glad that sorted it for you. Yes, it is always good to search for
answers first. ;-) The best place to look for answers in newsgroups is
Google Groups. Use the Advanced Search feature and you can limit the
search to microsoft.public.*, your language, time period desired, etc.
