I was wondering if there is a project
style database that anyone knows of.
I want to create work flows and gnatt
charts etc. My department can't really
afford Micorsoft Project unforunately.
I am unaware of an Access template for Project Management. Many posters here
have discussed various kinds of databases for handling project information.
An off-the-shelf project management program will cost your department much,
much less than it will cost to _develop_ even a simple project management
program (and, believe me, the internals of project management software are
far from simple -- sufficiently complex that I'd much rather be a user than
a writer of PM software).
I'd suggest you do a cost analysis, and if you still think you cannot afford
Microsoft Project, search for PM software that costs less -- the online
auction sites often have back versions of software for very reasonable
prices, there is shareware, and, sometimes, freeware.
