I am upgrading a corporate environment to Windows2000 O/S.
Previously under Windows 95 I have installed Access
runtime to permit turnkey Access applications to function.
I have found it difficult to obtain the equivalent Access
Runtime installation for the Windows 2000 environment,
despite searching the Microsoft download center. Am I
asking the right question or has the methods of
distributing an Access application to run under a runtime
licence changed for Windows 2000/"Office 2000 standard"
environment?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

AFAIK, the runtime has never been downloadable from the Microsoft site
(unless you count the downloads that subscribers to MSDN can do)

The Access 2000 runtime came as part of Microsoft Office 2000 Developer.
Unfortunately, Microsoft no longer sells previous versions of Office.

One possibility is to check out sites that specialize in old software
products, such as http://www.emsps.com/oldtools/ or
http://recycledsoftware.com/

Another is to look at someplace like eBay to see whether anyone's trying to
see their old versions (Note, though, that products purchased this way
aren't always legal...)

Of course, your other option is to upgrade to Office XP, and distribute the
runtime for Access 2002.
