Access Rights Issue

My fiance has a Macbook through work and is moving in. I have music and
video files on my PC on both my hard drive and an old external hard drive
(formatted NTFS). I am trying to consolidate all my videos and files to a
new, larger and slimmer external hard drive (formatted FAT 32) so my fiance
can access them on her Macbook. It was working fine and about 2 GBs were
consolidated into the new hard drive but then a message popped up saying that
copying music failed because I don't have enough access privileges for this
operation. Now I'm the only user on this PC and have admin rights assigned to
me, so I'm not sure how this is possible. Does anyone have any ideas about
what could be wrong? If it helps I have SP3 installed.

FAT32 has a root file limit (512) if I rembember right.
Create some folders and segragate files into these folders.
Other option:
If you are networked, share the external drive from your PC have her MAC
connect to the share.

My Bad...the file limits are for FAT not FAT32...
I would still segment the files into folders if you have them all on root.
I have seen this issue even with NTFS on Windows XP.
