My Access database report suddenly (on its own decided to
print the report with half of it on one page (vertically)
and the other half of it on a second page. What happened
to a program that has been working fine and now suddenly
it does it's own thing? Thanks

Hi,

You played with the default printer of the PC recently? (assuming the
report is based on the default printer) If so, it may be possible that
Access just follow the "new default printer" spec. and the new default
printer is with default sheet size less than what you thought, like 11"
instead of A4, or something weird setting like that. Alternatively, check
the printer on which the form is based, may be it has changed for a non
default printer with its own weird specifications? Finally, check if, per
bad luck, a page break would not have been accidentally added to the report,
at the place the page is split. I know it is all trivial stuff... but
trivial stuff is sometimes what we forget to look at... :-)

Michael: Thank you! Yes, I have messed with the default
printer..in a way. The PC (Win 98) we usually use
crashed, so we took the HP Laser jet put it on another
computer. We also tried to used this progam on an XP new
computer and have the same problem it has another HP
Laser. So, you are probably correct. But, what setting is
correct and how do I change it? Gosh, I appreciate this.
Small business trivial insanity is what it is! Thanks
again.

Hi,

Check, after having open the report in design view, under the menu: File |
Page Setup... then, under the tab [Page], near the bottom. If the Use
Specific Printer radio button is on, check what printer it is intended, and
what setting (including the page source size).
