I was working on a large database, renamed the document and then accidently deleted all the records, tried to UNDO that action and couldn't, so I closed the database WITHOUT saving. But when I reopened the database, the records were still gone. Is there any way to retrieve those records?

Not easily at this point.

Contact Peter Miller at http://www.pksolutions.com for his highly
recommended database salvage service.

Note that a Database isn't really a "document"; an action like
deleting records is applied at once, after a warning (unless you've
suppressed the warning), and you don't need to - nor do you get an
opportunity - to "save"; it's already done!

If you made changes to form/report/queries, and close Access without saving,
then those changes are dropped. As for records, well, you must have been
asked to confirm the deleting and you have confirmed it, so, there is
basically no way do recover data back except for your backup.
