Hi
We have Access Project as the front end for a SQL Server database. If we
create a table from within MS Access it appears in SQL Server, but we cannot
edit/add/delete the records in this table from within the MS Access project.
If we open the table from within SQL Server we are able to edit the records
fine.
We have triple checked the permissions etc and are 90% confident it is not
this that is the issue.
One solution we have found is that if we create the tables *with* indexes
(we set a PK) then it works fine, i.e if we set up a PK in the tables then
we are able to edit/add/delete the table from within project. So is this
perhaps the reason...? If so could someone point us to details on what is
going on and why.
Furthermore, are there any other 'traps' that we need to know about when
trying to use project. We are brand new to doing this and this particular
issue really killed us (until we put the PK in and it started working) and
so I want to avoid any more wherever possible.
Thanks
Andrew
