I have a problem with access to some word files. Although i have an
administrator account, i get access denied on some Word files. I have tried
to use the attrib command, but still get access denied. Any idea where this
is set. The properties for the folder show a green fill in the check box and
cannnot be reset.

It's not clear what may have happened - such as reinstalling the operating
system - that caused access to some files to be lost. If this is a
permissions issue on an NTFS volume, you should be able to take ownership
of the files:

Also, Word can be used to add an additional layer of protection to files.
This is done with a password that is separate from the Windows logon
password. Check the Word Help file for more details.
