I currently own WinXP Pro, Office XP Pro, & Visual Studio.NET. I've created
an ASP page that pulls info from and updates the access database. However,
it seems that the database acts kinda sketchy, meaning that sometimes I'll
get errors returned and no page loads. I know it has something to do with
accessing the database, but I'm not sure why. All I know is sometimes after
going to http://localhost/iisstart.asp. Things return back to normal. Can
anyone explain why this work or why this sketchiness happens? Are there any
free (moneywise and stresswise) alternatives to Access? I thought MySQL
would be good, but it's beginning to be a pain to figure out.
