we have a bunch of small access applications running on
our servers (netware 6) and they were working find until
recently. Now I'm getting

"mysysaccessobject is opened exclusively by another"

and I can't figure out why. No permissions to the drive
have changed and nothing on the database has been updated.
They just stopped working. The ldb file is getting
generated in the shared directory but it is still acting
like the db is being opened exclusively.

Can anyone shed any light on what might be the problem or
guide me on where to look for answers?

You can try just deleting the ldb file and letting access
recreate the file when you log in?

the problem only appears to occur when 1 person is logged
into the db. It locks everyone else out. The ldb file is
getting deleted when that person logs out it is just not
allowing multiple connections.

the startup shared option is selected and everyone has the
correct rights to the drive. They were working along fine
and then it just quit.

Dawn,
IIRC, that is not a message you should expect if the database is locked. I'm
suspecting there may be some kind of corruption.
