Keep getting the above file when I close my Access Project.
This results in not be able to close the data input file
It freezes and the only way is to quit using
Ctr/Alt/Delete and close with Manager
Running Access 2000
The above results in 2 files being created - One for the
App and the other for the dat file
Can anyone help please

Please expand a bit on what is happening. An .ldb file
("Access.Lockfile.9") will be created automatically every time your
database is opened, unless it's on a read-only medium -- this is the
file Access uses to keep track of record-locking within the database as
multiple users may be working with it. This file should then be deleted
automatically when the last user exits Access, provided all users exit
normally. If Access freezes and you have to blow it away via the Task
Manager, then the file will be left behind, but the error isn't the
fault of the lock file. In such a case, you should look for the reason
the application is freezing, which could be due to a bug of some kind in
your application, or due to a bug in Access -- the former is more
common, but the latter is not unheard of.

Is your Access application an .adp or an .mdb? What is the actual
sequence of events leading to the freeze-up?
