Access License

I bought Office 97 some years ago. The PC since then has
died. So I built another and I wanted to use a custom
install using only Excel, Word, and Access. I have a drop
box when tying to use Access telling me there is no
license on this PC to use Access. How do I use Access
again?

This is a wellknown bug, having to do with (of all things) the
Haettenschweiler font. There's a fix in Microsoft's support site; find
Knowledge Base article 191224 and follow the instructions there.
