access is denied

hi there,
I logged in a workstation in our environment with domain
account. however, when I go to the properies of the local
administrator account the change the password, it gives
error "access is denied". I tried to go to the Local Group
policy but it didn't give me permission either and was red
marked. I tried to log in as local admininistor account
but password is lost and I don't have the password. could
anyone tell me why when I log in as domain admin, it still
doesn't give permission?

Someone with local administrative powers on that computer removed the domain
admins group from the local adminisrators group. You can create an OU,
moving that computer into the OU with a GPO that uses resticted groups to
put the domain admins group back into the local administrators group on that
computer. --- Steve
