Have you waited for replication? So the changes have been replicated around
to the Domain Controllers.

hmmm, well the server was up almost all day, so I think it got replicated,
but I dont know...

I tryed to remove the new 2003 from the domain, and then put it back on to
the 2000 domain, but now it's even worce! it takes hours to log in...
probably some DNS problem.

Yeah, it's 90% sure related to DNS.

Hi,

Did you run adprep on your Windows 2000 machine? You need to run it to
prepare for a Windows 2003 DC.

You can run adprep / forestprep adprep / domainprep on your Windows
2000 DC before adding the Windows 2003.

Also make sure you have a Static IP on your Windows 2003 DC and make
sure the DNS is pointing to the IP of the Windows 2000 DNS server.

On the Win2003 DC run ipconfig /flushdns and then ipconfig
/registerdns

Make sure the DC is listed in dns.

Cheers,

Lara
