Has anyone observed that after opening an adp-file which is connected to a
SQL server on the web, it stops responding?
The adp opens normally but after 3-5 seconds the CPU usage climbs to 100%
and access stops responding.
If opening the same adp-file disconnected from any server, there's no
problem. I can select File|Connection and fill out the Data Link Properties
dialog. Test Connection says OK. I can click OK and the table names are
retrieved normally. Then after 3-5 seconds....
OS is Windows 2000 with all available updates installed
Access is version 2003 with all available updates installed
Adp-file is in Access 2000 format
This behaviour has not been observed with Access 2000 or Access XP using the
same adp-file.
