When attempting to enter a date containing a future year into an Access 2000 date field, the year changes to the current year. For example, in Dec of 2003 whenever I would attemt to enter a date containing the year 2004, such as January 1, 2004, it was changed to January 1, 2003 by Access. The field is a Date/Time Data Type and the Format is mmm yy and the Input Mask is LLL-00. Is there anything I can do to permit the entry of years beyond the current year into this database?

Thank you.

Are you entering your date via a form? If so, the person who created your database may
have included code with the assumption that a future year was simply a mistyped entry, and
they are correcting it for you. I suspect that you won't have any trouble entering a
future date into the table directly, assuming you have access to the tables.

I believe if you change the Format to mmm yyyy you will not have this problem.
