I use IE 6.0 and am running XP. I am having trouble with
IE in regard to it receiving addresses from other
programs. For instance, if someone sent me
www.microsoft.com in an email, I could click it and IE
would open, but there would be no address in the bar and
no website would open. I run Zone Alarm Pro but have it
setup for most every program I run to have internet
access. My internet security settings are all generally
medium with exception of restricted/trusted sites.
Thanks.

Start/Run/[CMD for XP]. Type this command: REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL. Ok/Reboot.
Then go to: IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Scroll down to
URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol/Advanced/Edit. Under Application used to
perform action it should read:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
