Hi all,
I have an accounting client running WinXP Pro in a
Win2000 Server domain "Accoutant". He needs to get access
to a quickbooks file at HIS client, who is on a Win2000
Server domain "Client".
I set up "Client" with RRAS to act as a RAS server,
opened up permissions on the directory and file that the
accountant needs.
I then set up the Accountant with the WinXP VPN setup
that allows him to dial into his client.
All runs well with him dialing into the Client. However,
he cannot access anything on the Client machine.
I have not done this, but do I need to have the
accountant change his own computer to be in the "Client"
workgroup so that he can access this file? Is there a way
that one can be in one domain/workgroup, and access a
file in another domain/workgroup? (of course with the
appropriate permissions).
Thanks
Nate
