Access fields

How to.. I am creating a form and want to make particular fields
available/not available contingent on data in other fields. For example, if
Field 1 is a checked checkbox, I want Field 2 to be active for data entry,
but if Field 1 is not checked, I want Field 2 to be grayed out and
unavailable for data entry. Any ideas? Thanks.

Put something like this in the Current Event of your form:

Me.Field2.Enabled = Me.Field1

If Me.Field1.Value = True Then
Me.Field2.Enabled = True
Else

Me.Field2.Enabled = False
End If

Amy,
Your solution works very well. However, the one I offered cuts down the
number of lines of code immensely:

Me.Field2.Enabled = Me.Field1

Since Field1 is a boolean field (true/false) and the enabled property of a
field is also a boolean value, then that single line does the job quite
nicely.
