Access exclusive use

I copied a database from my home machine to my laptop and
it is now set to exclusive use on both.

I would like to ask someone how to turn off the exclusive
use feature in both locations as it is not required.

The indication of exclusive use that is botching me up is
the sort function at table level.

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Default Open Mode

You can always override this setting using the button in the Open Database
dialog, or (I think) with a command line switch.

Huh?- sorting is done by queries, and should have no connection with
exclusive use or otherwise.
