Maybe someone here can assist me with this. I have a workbook in excel
that when the "Ticket" sheet is filled out, it posts the truck's number
and the tonnage hauled by said truck in the "truck log" sheet.

I'm trying to use access to open up the "Truck Log" so that for easy
viewing I can sort the columns by the truck's company or the material
they are hauling. What I need to do is get it so that when I import the
file from Excel it either ignores the top three rows -or- it locks the
top three rows so that when I sort the columns it doesn't recognize
said rows (the top three rows contain odd information like the Date and
the Titles and whatnot).

Is it possible that someone can help me perchance? If you need me to
elaborate some more say the word and I'll do my best.

Thanks

Josh,

Select everything from row 4 down to the end of the sheet
and give it a range name. When linking a spreadsheet,
Access will ask you to select a sheet or a range; the
latter will do the trick.
