access dropdown box contain

I would like to access the value of dropdown box.

I use MyDropdown.text, but get empty string.

Am I wrong?

Don't use the Text property.
In Access the Text property is what is entered into a control BEFORE
you save it.
It's the Value property that holds the data.
Since Value is the default, you do not need to state it.

Something =Me!MyDropdown
