I have individuals that can not open a file directly on a
mapped drive. this is the error they get.

"The file is located outside your intranet or on an
untrusted sited."

It opens fine if they copy it to their hard drive. What
do I do to get them access?

Hi,

My name is Eric. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

Take a look at the following knowledge base article:

Intranet Site Is Identified as an Internet Site When You Use an FQDN or IP
Address
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;303650

Note: this error is also noted when attempting to open an Access database
from a Web Server. Access is not designed to open via a URL.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.
