Access Denied

Hi ,

By mistake, I removed all the permissions from the folder.
When I try to access the folder , it gives access denied.
I do a right click ,go to security --advanced ,but it does
not show the owner tab. Pls help. How do i take the owner
ship. I tried resetting the permissions also , still the
same error message.


File system is NTFS.

Reset from the folder above the one you removed permissions from.
Also, make sure you're logged in as a local administrator.

Hi ,
Thanks for the info
I am not able to take the ownership , since I can't see
the ownership tab.
The file system is NTFS.
I tried running chkdsk /f , still of no use.
