Hi Skabb,
I would do a repair of Windows instead. It preserves your
programs and data's while restoring your Windows system files.
Unplug from your Internet connection, and then repair Windows:
using this method:

Afterwards, boot up your system, turn on your XP Internet Firewall,
plug back into your Internet connection and install all Critical and

| Very nice try but of course it wouldnt work. I still get
| the same error. So since all logic explenations or
| solutions counts against me, Ill have to think of what
| could possibly have gone wrong. I still suspect a
| corruption in the registry and since even your solution
| didnt work Im pretty sure of it. I did find this guide on
| how to restore the registry if windows xp wouldnt boot.
| But Im not sure if I wanna try that as (a: Im not
| familiar with the registry and (b: Its not like my
| operative system wont boot up. But then again I dont see
| any other solution but I dont want to end up doing the
| format thing either so Im stuck. Can anybody help me out?
