We have several printers with queues on a Windows 2000
print server. Users on client Windows 2000 Professional
workstations can print without a problem to the network
printers.
We would like to clear up an irritating situation with the
printer queues. Intermittently, the status of the
printers will display "Access denied, unable to connect"
and when the user checks the queue for the printer, he/she
will not be able to see any jobs on the list (when there
could actually be several jobs waiting for printing). If
there are no jobs stuck in the queue, printing works fine
even though the status of the queues displays the "Access
denied . . ." message.
This problem prohibits users from managing their print
jobs to the network printer. Any suggestions? Thanks.
