I tried to remove the read-only characteristic after
copying files to a CD, by selecting Properties, but window
said access was denied to the file(s). What can I do?

Copy the files back to your hard drive, then change the
attributes. A CD ROM is always Read Only Memory.

You can't do anything. It's the nature of a CD. It's CD-ROM, and
the "RO" stands for "read-only."
