I got an email from my brother with a problem I can't resolve. Here's the
gist of it:
"I am trying to get at a database I created under Access. Vista will not
let me open it. I had a problem and saved all my data files before
reinstalling Vista. After reinstalling Office 2003, which includes Access,
and then copying the file back to my C: folder, I get a message that says I
do not have permission to access the file and that I should contact the
administrator (that's me) or the creator (that's me). I have all the
permissions for the file, but apparently there are Access permissions that I
cannot set since I can't open the database."
The database file was not password protected under Access 2003.
He thinks I can solve the issue. So far, my searches of Technet and other
forums have not been helpful.
Thanks for your help.
