Since putting on various service packs I now get acces
denied when I try to add or change a printer definition

I need to change the printer from a network shared device
to a local (IP) printer and turn off old print server.

Any ideas why it fails with access denied.

Thank you

Are you logged on as an administrator? If so, what error message do you get?
You may want to check the effective permissions in Local Security
Policy/security settings/local policies/user rights to make sure the
administrators group has rights to load and unload device drivers, etc.
