Hi,

I am trying to connect to the internet using IE 6 and XP Home. I am
connecting to a LAN, and whenever I try and load a webpage I get the message
saying 'Forbidden. You were denied access because: Access denied by access
control list'.

I have seen the following support page
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316699 but this only seems to apply to dial
up connections so could somebody help me with a LAN Connection.

Thanks very much

Hi bal_samra :-)

If you are not using dialup, go to Tools>Internet Options>Connections
tab>LAN Settings
Make sure the "use a Proxy server..." is Unchecked
Check the "Automatically detect settings" and see if that helps:

Hope this helps.
