A while ago, my computer started acting funy, so I did a
system restore. I chose the option where it put
everything currently on the drive into a folder
called "<whatever the date was>: My Old Data"...or
something like that, and it would then reinstall Windows
like it was when I first bought it. It worked okay, except
for one thing--I can't open my old documents and settings
file. I go to "my old data/documents and settings/<my old
username here>", and Windows gives me an error message--
something like, "Cannot open 'my old data/documents and
settings/<my old username here>': Access is denied." I
think it's because of some security something-or-other I
put on my files at some point.
Anyways... I want to know if there's a way to get to
that data. I can't take it anywhere, because I live 100
miles from the nearest computer shop.
Somebody help me, please!!! And, f you do... thanks. A
bunch.
