Access Databases created from Templates - cannot edit

I have tried setting up databases from the downloadable templates from the
Microsoft website, however unlike Acess 2003 I cannot edit any of them (even
minor details).

The online help merely tells us to click on the "datasheet" tab - unless you
start a file from scratch, there is no tab! Is there any way to edit a
template with Access 2007?

Shane,

I downloaded a template and had no trouble editing it (I simply switched to
Design View of a form, a query and a table) so which one are you downloading
that you can't edit?

Microsoft purposefully handicaps jet to make it less popular. Dead
serious.

How many Excel / Word viruses have you seen, people?
How many Access viruses?

Why is Access locked down by default, but people have been able to
email around word docs for the past 15 years?

Shane,

I am sorry for the distraction that showed up in this thread... please
ignore and post which template you downloaded.

Please ignore Tony.. He's not representive of a REAL db programmer.

Anyone with a clue uses a database server.

Tony _TRIED_ to do this once, but it was too complex for him
