It can: a) a Text field is limited to 255 chars, but a Memo field is unlimited up to the size of the mdb file b) a Record can hold up to 2048 bytes, not including Memo fields which only contribute 8 bytes each (I think) c) a Table can hold as much information as will fit inside the mdb file d) an mdb file can hold up to 2GB HTH Tim F
