access database not recognized

Hello I have a database *.mdb, but access 2000, 2002 gives
me the message that can not recognize file. I had tried to
repair and compact database but doesnt recognize the
format

any Idea?

What version of Access created the file?

What version of Access are you using to try and open it?

What version of Access did you use to repair and compact it?
