I like many others have been trying to implement a Remote
desktop solution through a web browse for a client. The
client wants to "Remote access) his machine using a web-
browser instead of lugging a lapop. I have been readin up
on providing this service.

Initially I read that) this task by workopening 3389 and
80 for the TSWeb server. I installed the TsWeb application
on the SBS server. When I went to connect to a 3rd in the
addrsss into the server filed, I received an error message
similar to what everyone else is experiencing (regarding
cannot find system).

I moved the TSWEb functional off the SBS server and onto a
separate system. I verified the machine names and ip
addresses were all inserted into DNS database (verifieid
by pinging by name),the I was able.

I was able to log into the tseb account on the 2nd machine
and bounce to an internal system from begind the
firewall/router. I was able to succeed tWhen it came to
loggignig into the 2nd machine.

Looking for ideas.

I read your article "Secure Remote access to client machines." This is
exactly what I am trying to achieve. I am using the broweser to go
from the outside to "x.x.x.x:1234/tsweb" (the firewall is forwarding
ports 1234 and 3389 to the "TSWeb server") once there I have the users
log in using a temporary account called Tsweb with a secure password.
This account automatically starts the RDP client and the user is then
sent to their local machine.
According to your whitepaper I should modify the user's regular
account to automatically launch the RDP client. Won't this be a
problem when they log into their desk? Will the system be able to
differentiate between logging into to Terminal server and logging into
the domain from their desktops?
Should the terminal server be setup in application or remote admin
mode? If application mode how many CALs should I get?
Thank you for all your help.
