Is there a way to disable the Access close button..the X
at the top right of the screen. Not a Form close button
in which I would just set that property (ie Format Control
Box) to NO. So basically is there a way to set the Access
Control Box to NO or disable it. The problem is that
sometimes the user will close a form and the entire access
system by hitting the Access Control Close and not close
by hitting the proper Command Button on the form; and
thereby skip some code.

Thank you for your help.

Steven

Sorry, I misread your question.

It may be possible to do this with an API call. I'm checking...

No API call required. Here is a link to the Access Web with a how to:

In addition to this method, an API method can be found in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base:

*ACC: How to Disable the Close Button (X) on the Access
Application Window (95/97)
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=258049

*ACC2000: How to Disable the Close Button (X) on the Access
Application Window

*ACC2002: How to Disable the Close Button (X) on the Access
Application Window and the Exit Command on the File Menu

Keep in mind that no matter what method you choose, the determined user can
still resort to the "End Task" approach.
