Can anyone help out?

Powerpoint presentation is on a server.
The character map is password protected.
IT will not release the password to add new fonts.

So can I put the character maps on cd and have powerpoint draw the
needed fronts from there instead of windows?

I know the fonts can be embedded into the presentation but they are
not on the server so an outside source is needed.

The cd will contain windows character map and also All fonts ( Private
Characters)

All thoughts are welcome.

I'm not sure what you mean by "character maps".  Can you clarify that?

But it may not be relevant;  PowerPoint can only use fonts that are
embedded in a presentation or installed in Windows.  While the font
files needn't be installed in the usual Windows Fonts directory, there
needs to be at least a shortcut there, and w/o permission to install
fonts, I don't think you're going to be able to get there.

Can you copy the presentation to another PC where you have permission to
install fonts, save it with fonts embedded, then put it back on the
server?
