Hi,

Let's say my access database is created with forms,
tables, reports etc. It is working great in MS Access
but now I'm ready for transfer it to a really application
that is w/o using MS access anymore but to view the
mainswitchboard by clicking on an icon.

How do I do all that from creating an icon to allow the
users to use the application?

Thanks in advance,
LC

Too bad... because Access databases CANNOT be compiled into an
executable. You must, no option, use some version of Microsoft Access
to operate with any Access application.

You can create an icon which opens Access with your database open, and
set the Startup options so it opens to your switchboard and conceals
the database window; and you can purchase the appropriate Office
Developer's Edition to allow you to distribute a "runtime" version of
msaccess.exe - but you can't use the database without using the Access
program.
