I splitted my mdb into a frotn end (FE) and a back end
(BE). Things are
easy for me since most of the changes I do are to the FE
and I dont have to
worry about getting to the office before someone adds new
data to the
tables. Now, the BE is on a server and several computers
have a copy of the
FE. These computers are running windows 98 SE, 2000 and
XP. When I first
open the the forms on the FE they are somewhat slow (I
believe that the
table in the FE is being populated) but the second time
they load fast and
I'm happy with it. My boss works out of a laptop with
Windows 2000
installed. The problem is that his forms always load slow
(and he is
bickering about it). I dont know if there is a problem
and if there is a
problem, I dont know where to look (Access or windows).
My desktop runs on
Win 2K and Access XP just like my boss laptop and I dont
have the same
problem. Thanks for any help.

You'll find performance tips at MVP Tony Toews' website. These have proved
quite helpful to many:
