Hi all, i have a prob with Access. "NO" Yes, well i have
Office 97 pro, bought it.... and it has been working fine
up until 3 months ago when i had to buy another windows
XP cd because i lost my other one. Now whenever i need
Access it pops up with "OUT OF MEMORY" "CLOSE UNUSED
PROGRAMS AND TRY AGAIN" i close all the prgms i can and
it still comes up with the same popup.

ANyine know whats going on, or do i have to stop being
cheap and buy office again?

Thanks.

I seem to remember that access97 has problems on windows boxes with more
then 1 gig of ram.

(after all, that product came out when the standard pc was 60mhz pc, with 16
megs of ram!!!). It would un-imagine that the designers figured on pc's with
3 gi hz processors, and 1 gig of ram!

However, if you install the office sr2b patch, then the out of memory goes
away.

So, try downloading and installing the sr1 (which is usually
installed..check your cd), and install sr2b

You should also install the update to jet, in your case jetsp35sp3.exe.

Do the above...and that 4 versions old of office should run just fine!

Thank you eve so much it worked, but of course you said.
Now i know why you are paid so much.

Thanks again
