access 97

I need some help with this problem. In Access 2002 the
=Date() works for automatically fillinf in the date in a
field, but what code will work for access 97 tried the
above it doesn't work?

Also same thing with the time, what would I need to code
so it will also automatically appear in the field on the
form.
