When I convert an old Access 97 database to Access 2000
format (or 2002, I'm not really sure), the reports dont
work properly anymore. For example, I have address label
reports that ask me for a "Trim" parameter value, and I
have no idea what that is. So, when I go look at the
report details, " =Trim " has been inserted in each field,
and the field names have been put in parentheses.
If I remove the =Trim and parentheses, all the fields work
except the last line, where I had [City] & " " & [State] &
" " & [Zip]. I'm now told that there's a syntax error
(which I'm not sure I'd recognize even if I thought there
was one, which I don't believe there is).
Is there some trick to making old reports work in the new
versions of Access that I'm not aware of? Any and all help
would be greatly appreciated.
