Don't hate me because I'm using '97. The problem I'm
having is related to importing a csv database from a
contact management(Key Optimizer Plus) program to Access.

I've successfully imported the database, all fields and
records are populated when I view "tables". However, I
want to use the switchboard to view, update, edit all of
my contacts. When I open the switchboard, none of the
field boxes are populated.

Shouldn't the switchboard open with the information that
is in the tables automatically?

I am not sure what the actual problem here is.

All the switch board is a menu system. It allows you to add some buttons and
those buttons generally will launch a form that you created. Perhaps you
accidentally launched the form in "add" mode, which would not show any
existing data, but allow the user to add only new records.

If you build a nice form to edit contacts, then there is no reason why the
switch board cannot be used to launch that form. As mentioned, perhaps you
are launching the form in add mode, which means when the form is opened, it
goes to a new record right away, and would not show the existing records.
