Access 97 is not closing

Dear all,
I have access97 installed on my pc and officexp without
accessxp. when open access and after the work I just click
on close, it is not closing, it stays over there in the
task bar. I have to try from the task manager, after 2 or
3 attemp it says program is not responding then it quits.
pls any one can help on this issue.

There are a couple of things that will cause this to happen. Most are code related.
